Life changes, you move to a new city, your name changes after marriage, or you simply notice a typing mistake, it is important to get is corrected. The good news is that UIDAI does allow you to update your Aadhaar details. But there are limits. Let’s understand those limits in detail:

Name: You can update your name on Aadhaar up to 2 times in your lifetime.

Date of Birth: This one comes with an even stricter limit. You can only change your date of birth once, and only if there’s a genuine error.

Gender: Similar to date of birth, gender can also be changed only once.

Address: Your address is the most flexible detail on your Aadhaar. There’s no cap on the number of times you can update it, which makes sense given how often people relocate.
